Happy thirty-first anniversary!
A moment's pause to celebrate our love:
Pleased in ways no wedding could foresee;
Pleased in ways we had no inkling of.
Years of love create an ecosphere
That nurtures and sustains the lives within.
Having each evolved to flourish here,
It seems each year we're more and more akin.
Revision is quite different from re-vision:
The one amends; the other recreates.
Yet love is a perpetual decision,
Freshly cut from new-found fields of grace.
If love is a perennial, old and new,
Re-blossoming as each rebirth comes due,
So differently, yet beautifully, the same,
Then what time erodes, love will sustain.
